I am filming a concert and some inteviews this weekend and do not want to use the on cam mic on the DVX100. I'd like to pick up a shotgun mic to mount on camera for the conert( I know, i know. But getting awesome audio is not as important at the concert as good shots since the audio may not even be used, but i want it JIC) and then a wireless Lav for the interviews. I need it Friday night and Saturday. What do you guys suggest? And what's a good place to rent from in the LA area?
This is for a low budget EPK. Mostly web based distribution. The shotgun mic might be overkill for the concert (Especially if I can just get a copy of it from the mixer and mix it in in post), but the lav is very important. Maybe a wired would do the trick?
