Need Video Card for Monitoring (and monitor)

Do you guys have any suggestions for a less expensive card for output to a production monitor from Premiere cs3? Something like the AJA Xena, only cheaper... probably doesn't have to have sdi. I thought the new Blackmagic Intensity with an HDMI output might be my solution, but they specifically don't support Dell... and as luck would have it, I'm working on a Dell.

I'm also in need of a production monitor. I like the Panasonic Production LCD's, but don't want to pay that much. Any other production monitor suggestions or decent quality plasma or lcd suggestions?

I work with Matrox Parhelia APVe. It runs with up to four monitors / TV / controll monitors, HD or SD . It's cheap (around 200 - 250,-). Check for further details at www.matrox.com.

I have done some work for a television production company and one of their edit suites are connected to a standard widescreen tv which sounds bad but was really handy as you see what a family with a "cheap" tv set will see.

I could bet you any money your average family would not have a multi-thousand dollar production monitor calibrated to TV standards!

So don't stress to much, a broadcast monitor is nice but a tv set will do.

p.s. In my home edit suite i have a $99 tv hooked up via a cheap samsung dv camera on a compaq preserio computer. It is 7 frames out but hey it
