Miss South Carolina on Education

nope, still seems really dumb - "I have a good character" among others, just highlights our inability to teach our own language in this country.

ha, maybe so... i think we should send her to the iraq or such as south africa... she can take all her characters there and do something to help the US buy maps cause not everybody has maps...

yes, i'm guilty.

Bad Luis... baaaaad Luis...

But seriously, what connotates a youtube link post? This is a good clip to watch and it's good to discuss. Does the fact that it's a youtube link make it a bad thing? I think this whole scenario needs some clarification...

did i hear she got 4th out of 51 contestants? who the hell was the 51st contestant? now i'm doubting my own geography skills...

Still don't know?

I will give you a hint . . . get your map out and start looking in the Carribean.

(they also have representation to the U.S. Congress).

Basically it breaks down like this, not every thread in the cafe should be a youtube video. Some is cool, all is too much.

Haha she wants to be a special FX designer for film and TV.

Maybe she reads DVXuser!

Yeah and she'd probably ask stupid questions like "what's that clunking sound when my camera is off" or "how do I get that film look with my 100B" or maybe "100b vs 'insert latest camera model here', which one is better". Yeah she's so dumb she'd ask questions just like that........... uh, oops, wait a second:huh:

DDP

Did you see how the hosts of the Today Show basically answered the questions for her. "Everything came at you at once didn't it?" and "It was like you were outside of yourself".

C'mon guys, ask the question and let her answer. At least give her a chance to make a fool of herself, or not, on her own.

yeah she didnt say much - they were very nice to pretty much like such as carry the conversation for her and the iraq.

btw I am now inserting "like such as" and "and the iraq" in as many of my conversations as I can today... another slow day at work...

Anybody remember a recent TV commercial where an office worker is told to put a push pin on China? When he can't find it he ends up tearing down the entire world map 'by accident'. It's hilarious!

Sorry lol... this Miss DownSyndromeCarolina thing reminded me of that.

I don't think beauty contestant answers have ever really been the bellwether for the state of education. It's possible to read a little too much into something.

:)
