I have an Idea how about a post where everyone posts what they think is there best picture. The before and after of photoshops to see there improvement and maybe a brief description of what they did. ohh and what they shot with? Anyone?

really? I have to disagree. I put toughest moment because I know all the work they put in when they spend hours editing it.

I like the idea....

I'm sure a lot of people will be reluctant to show their befores...it can be an eye-opener when people see your befores and cant understand your afters...or take your befores and make them better looking afters than your afters.

But, this is the place for it. Afterall, this is a forum of learning...

Shot in -84 with Olympus OM-3 and 135mm f3.5 on Kodachrome 64 Pro. A low ray of evening sun was cutting thorough the Swedagon pagoda in Rangoon, I knew a monk was going to walk thru it sometime. Prefocus, premeter, 1/60 sec at full open, I think.

Phoshopped a bit, there were a few white shirt guys at left, just ghosts in the shadow really, darkened them out. Softness is due to the fact that the original was puchased by Olympus Inc and this is a scan from a duplicate. I got a OM-4 body and a 350mm f2.8 gratis...

One of my favourites, good memories also.

Nice, did you do the foot reflection on the floor? or was that part of the photograph? how long did you wait for the monk?

You need an image hosting site. I have filefront, i think imageshack is a popular one.

Register. Then upload your photo. When its done, you right click on it to view it and click PROPERTIES. Underneath the section of that window where it says Image Properties there should be a line that says Image Address. Select that entire line and copy it by pressing Control + C (if you are on PC)....then come back to this thread click REPLY to post and above this typing window, you should see an icon that looks like a yellow square with a mountain. Click on that and paste the address in the blank field (Control + V). Thats it.

One more thing, be SURE to resize your picture first. If you don't it will take up the entire screen and Jeremy will come in here and b*tch slap you around...

Actually, its easy...before you upload your pic to your photosharing website, bring it in to Photoshop and go to EDIT, IMAGE SIZE and scale it down to about 500-800 pixels. save it. and use that version to display here.

one question when I save it to the web on Photoshop do I save it as a png-24, is that right without losing quality.

Well, if you want to maintain a very good amount of color reproduction than yes...but re-sizing the photo shouldn't be anything more than going to EDIT/IMAGE SIZE/and typing 800.

That reflection, it is from the stone floor polished to a mirror by millions of worshippers during many centuries...
