Canon user thread - post your pictures here

Are you just trying to figure out how to bring a set of actions into photoshop?

If you are using a PC just drag them and leave them.

Actions are great because if you have a set of standard adjustments you do then you can use an action to batch process everything...

I do this a lot for saving file names or resizing for thumbnails for wedding / event viewing.

The way you put that make sme feel stupid.

The problem I'm having is when I click on the action a whole list of actions pop under it do I have to individually click on all of them tp perform the over all effect?

As you could see in my "motorbikes @ a race track" thread, I was doing some shooting at a race track.^^

Here´s one shot which I took as well at that day but obviously it´s no motorbike. :)

Where are you guys?

I´m thinking about buying the 1.8 50mm but unfortunately I´ve read some bad stuff about the AF and the build-quality of it.

Did you have bad experiences with it? Would you still really recommend it?

those concert shots i posted were shot with it at 1600 iso.
The af is a little slow. I've heard the 1.4 version is better.
the manual focus ring is pretty lame on it also.

Thanks for your quick answer.

Well, this shot looks quite good considering that you did it with iso1600.

I guess you would still recommend the lens?

The camera + lens is my friends but he got it used for like $50. I would definitely recommend it because it's so cheap but i would go for the 1.4 personally.

I bought a a little Audi R8 today as a birthday present for a friend. But since I don´t like Audi I had some fun with it... ^^

Either the Canons come with better kit lenses or the Nikons is just an inferior camera. Perhaps its just personal taste. I just think the majority of the pics in this thread are better than the ones in the Nikon thread when you look at sharpness, colors etc.

I can't compare between Nikons and Canons since I have never shot on a Nikon but I don't think you can judge the sharpness with such low res files. Unless something was done in post to unsharpen a photo, a 6 or 8 megapixel image is going look damn sharp when downrezed to 800x600 etc. no matter what lens or ccd you shoot it with.

Weird, image shack wasn't uploading my pictures, hear are some more. Thanks 2 in the can for the comment, never even knew there was this photo section until 2 days ago!
