Remove unwanted static object from video

Hi! Some of my shots have a mic visible in the left side. Just wondering if I can apply a layer or use de logo filter with Premiere Elements or something else (VirtualDub ??) to remove the mic.
It should be easy enough, I want to select the area where the mic appears and fill it with the weighted average of pixels around it.
Just dont know how to do this in my editor..

um. i managed to remove a logo in much the same situation very successfly buy using photoshop of all things. i exported the vid as a frame sequence, then used the Patch tool in Photoshop on the logo. the trick however is to get photoshop to do this for you over and over again using the same position. you will need to be familiar with actions in photoshop, and how to batch procces an action once you have created it. (sounds hard but its actually quite straight forward)

hope this helps

Two questions- Does anybody know if AE plugins will work with Premiere Pro2, and Stupid Me- which version of PS are you using? And did you export the footage as a .flm? I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to successfully use actions on a filmstrip.
