I know there has been much concern over the way the "FINAL PRODUCT" Letus35 FE is presented. Thrown in a box with packing peanuts with no covers for the glass. I do not leave my adapter on my camera, because I shoot 80% of the time with just my straight DVX. I wanted a way to take the Letus on location off the camera without spending a bunch of money.
Here is what I did to finish out the letus35.
FIRST THINGS FIRST PROTECT THE OPTICS
I ordered two push on lens caps from Kaiser. You can get them from B&H for under 20 bucks. One 72mm and One 52mm.
*THIS SOLUTION WORKS GREAT BUT IT WAS NOT MY OWN. I SAW IT ON THE BOARDS AND I COULD NOT FIND IT AGAIN TO GIVE CREDIT TO THAT USER*
STEP 2 PROTECT ADAPTER AND LENSES
The next thing I needed was a cheap case. I went to my local sporting goods store and picked up a cheap Plano Pistol Case for $19.
I have seen these at Walmart and Gander Mountain and Dick's Sporting Goods.
It Looks like this.
It works well. You could get a nicer case but I wanted to do this as economically as possible.
On an opinion note I would gladly pay 50 bucks more for Quyen to send the letus out in something like this with the caps.
Happy Film making...
