Video out of Sync with sound on export

When I view the video on the prgram monitor all is well. When I export in quicktime, Movie, or FLV the audio is out of sync in the middle of the video. Total length of video is 6min.
I cannot figure it out.
help!

I am having the same problem when exporting quicktime video. Can anyone recommend an audio setting that is good for web that will stay in sync?

This exact issue has been killing me this week. AVI, MOV have all been out of sync when exporting as a movie. Only making an MPG keeps things in sync.

Small (<10 minute) files have been great. Of course it's the big ones when we're ready to finish up that don't cooperate.

Any ideas?

Im working on Premiere CS3.
Not trying to be funny, but it's nice to know that Im not the only one having this problem.

Still can't figure it out!

I was reading your posts on the forum regarding an audio sync problem when exporting from premiere to QT. My monitor and time line are synced perfect. The crazy thing is, when I import the un-synced QT back into premiere..... it's synced!

All my footage is the same frame rate, and my audio is the same sample rate. When I export to windows codecs, it seems to be fine. I need to export to QT fro my client.

Any help is MUCH appreciated!

It may be that your computer is too slow for proper play back. The way to check this is hear something in the export and pause the video and see if it catches up.

Hi

Try lasso-ing all your clips then right click and select "GROUP CLIPS". from the pop up menu. I have had Issues with 720 and 1080 P2 projects in PProCS3 falling out of sync upon Export, many times.

It could be mere coincidence that this works, but this trick has solved that issue for me every time to date.

Be Careful!! All clips will be seen as 1 giant clip unless you de-select that option. They will be locked together even if they are totally different clips.

I'm working on 720p HVD projects at 29.97. I've been trying to export to many different QT codecs; H.264 mainly. Microsoft Uncompressed works, Quicktime Animation or UC doesn't. WMV works.

I checked the playback possibility. It doesn't catch up. I built a pretty mean dual quad core & Raided machine for this project. Been solid so far. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks for the quick responses guys! I'm gonna jump on the Group Clips test and pray to heaven above.

No go on the Group Clip. Still slipping. It's hard to tell, but it seems like some of the clips are on and some are off. The edit has multiple AE tracks over a single audio track. I'm going to try slipping the audio track forward a half sec and see if it all jives.

Super frustrating! Thanks again for your advise!

OK. Tried slipping the audio back 10 frames and the clips that were out of sync are back in, but the ones that looked OK are now out. This is so weird.

I have a series of 1-3 sec AE clips at 29.97 in a 29.97 720p HDV project, with a single music track that is 44100k in a 48000k project, (yes I tried converting the 44100k to 48000k and I had the same problem).

Right after the AE clips, I also have 59.94 HDV footage, with 48000k audio that is always synced when exporting to anything, QT or avi. It is a single clip that runs about 4 min and then goes back into AE clips and music track that has slipping on SOME of the clips (maybe every other one). Then back to HDV which synced perfectly for another 2 min. Then back to AE clips and same problems.

All of this is DEAD ON in my rendered timeline.

Maybe the 44100k music track is the culpret?

I had this problem all the time in PP2.0, exporting DVX100 24pa footage as QT --- I was exporting using (what you would think would be correct) 48khz audio frequency. When I finally said 'what the hell' and tried switching it to 44khz, the audio stayed synced.

Thanks Shooter & TWJP.

No luck tho. I'm probably going to have to go out to .avi and then convert down from there. Testing to see if this is a solution.

Its a good solution (if it works) QT Pro can be a very handy tool.

If it doesnt work... your issue lies elsewhere. You will know as soon as you make the avi.

No dice. I'm seriously going out of my mind. I have over 40 test renders using various settings and I still don't have a clue.

The only thing I can make out of all this is that QT might playback my video and audio info differently than Premiere. This is based on the fact that when I drag all my bad test renders back into a premiere timeline, THEY ARE SYNCED. All I want is to render out what I see on my timeline. I'm considering recording the output from my monitor and re-capturing that. It's not a local computer problem, as my partner is have the exact same problem.

Baffled.
