which is better snd for dvd aiff or ac3

Just wondering which has the best sound quality on a dvd...ac3 or aiff and what are the pros and cons of both.
 
I doubt you'll hear much difference in the sound quality - the real issue is that AC3 is MUCH smaller, and will therefore leave you more room on the disc for your Video, which is where you really want to use your space in order to compress it as little as possible.

Just my 2 cents anyhow.
 
Thanks and since you mentioned it how would I compress my video as little as possible before putting it on DVD. What settings would I use in compressor?
 
Using compressor you should choose "Best Quality 90mins" That is of course if you have less then 90 minutes of video. If more choose Best quality 120 or 150 or whatever they are. You can manually up the bitrates minimum, target, and max but I would not recommend unless you knew what you were doing.
