Why do the shoots look jagged

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I'm shooting a lot with my DVX in photography studio with a white background. I've noticed that the subjects seem jagged like if there was something wrong the interlace. I notice it on the edges. Well if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

...I'm sure someone else will respond, but this is as best I can answer for now. I know that some colors are played back with a pixelated look on editing software. I believe it has to do with saving rendering. I have had this issue with reds before, its called banding. If thats not what you meant by jagged, if the footage looks really choppy, its because you had it at a fast shutter speed.

search for banding, I am sure you find something about it.

Don't forget to check your Image Enhancement settings on your HVX. Setting things too high makes the shots look VERY digital. Had to learn this the hard way when we were using greenscreen footage.
