BEST WAY TO MONITOR Video

I understand the best way to monitor your output of PP2 is to use a TV not your computer monitor..correct?

If so, I can purchase a 32" LCD HD TV for $500...wall mountable. If anyone knows of a cheaper one please let me know.

Question:

How should I output from computer to the TV?

. Thru camcorder and then use RGB or S video out to TV?
. I have a DVI connector on my video card and the TV accepts DVI in..would that be best?

Thanks in advance for advice.

read the last few posts on this subject, they list cards that can do it. DVI is best quality and closest to actual colors. what ive noticed is that the LCD tv's usually have a bad SD image quality. Since I still work alot in SD I opted for a tube HDTV, I would say the quality is better in general but they do take up alot of space.

you can go for a matrox parhelia card to ouput to your reference monitor from any direct draw video overlay program with component HD, svideo, or composite video, as well as RGB or DVI. its a great way to monitor the NTSC output of the video from about any app.

thanks..
Im using a "pass-thru" my camcorder to a small NTSC monitor now, but would like to have a large TV monitor to show samples to my customers. With more people going to LCD TVs, Id like to adjust my finals to look good on LCD.

BTW......since Ive updated to PP2 and a dual core processor, my video seems much better and the computer monitor(LCD) and NTSC monitor(CRT) are a closer match.
Is this the result of PP2 and/or the dual core processor??

Thanks again for the inputs,
Jeff

PPRO 2.0 can use higher bit depth color processing, and audio processing, so it could account for the change, but hard to say for sure, it could be the codec used for DV output as well, or a number of things.
