Internet Sensation
And really, why wouldn't you want to help?
I know a few of you have actually clicked on the banner in my sig and checked out my bio site. Well, after having the sucker up for over 10 years, I'd like to start basking in my own 15 seconds of net fame.
Here's a bit of history:
Way back when the web was still a capitalized World Wide Web and Al Gore hadn't remembered he had invented the also-capitalized Internet, I was asked to leave my first job as a copywriter due to the ever-popular "creative differences" and my obvious love of run-on sentences.
The year was 1997.
My portfolio at that time consisted of ads for a retirement community (old people), Jiffy Lube (oily people) and discount funeral homes (dead people). Needless to say, neither Wieden nor Goodby nor Riney were anxious to view these masterpieces of low-rent consumer baiting. So I needed some other way to display my writing style. Something better than spec ads, because only students should have spec ads.
And thus, my bio was born.
A blog before blogs. Sporadically updated for the last ten years to become the ginormous black hole of comedy it is today. I have not gone back and edited past posts, so you can actually see my hackery improve month by month.
Here's what I ask, if you choose to participate:
1. Check out the site: http://www.whoisjasonfox.com
2. If you laugh, even once, pass the link on to as many friends as possible. If you're a spammer with a large email database, all the better.
That's it. In return, I promise to pay homage to the fine people at DVXuser if someone happens to write an article and/or attempt to assassinate me.
Thanks,
Fox
