Porta-brace Vault Case Specials at B&H

Hey all,

I just saw that B&H is running a special again on the Porta Brace hard cases (similar to Pelican). With several models, if you buy one, you get the next size down for free. It's a really great deal, and these cases are great. I bought one for my day job to use for shipping a LCD monitor to trade shows (via Fedex) and it has held up remarkably well, considering how Fedex treats packages.

(I have no relationship to either B&H or Porta-brace, just putting out a good deal).

I've been looking into getting a case also. They see the pb-2600 will fit the Hvx200, but do you think that it'll be a tight fit? There is no special running with the 2650. Anyone use a 2600 with the hvx, if so can it fit with the shotgun mic holder attach to the camera, or does it have to be removed.

All help appreciated.

Phil, you rock! I ordered the 2500 and then got the 2400 for free. Tonight I outfitted the 2500 for my shiny new HD-P2 and it should also hold my SD MM-1 when I get that later this summer. These are great cases. For one big reason I actually prefer it to a Pelican, there is a name plate built right below the handle!

Guys, get some of these cases while this deal is happening, it's worth it!

I was tempted to do that, but my SD302 is already nicely configured with a CK93, Oktava, BBG and Rycote grip in one Pelican. And buying a new set of picknpluck isn't that cheap.
