BREVIS with HVX200 Test Footage

I think the last shot looks the best. Funny - Heinz. The prior shots looks as if they were slowed down somehow or a bit choppy. The image looked good, but the motion looked a bit choppy. Maybe it was my WMP. Who knows. I think it looks great though.

Thanks John. All the shots were done with natural light, except for the last night shot which had a 1K Softlight just off to the right of frame. I didn't really light, just brought the levels up.

As for the footage feeling choppy, I agree with you. The original footage has none of that. It's very smooth, so I guess it's the way I compressed it. Still learning and trying to find best settings.

Oh man, I'm doing the same. I've never dealt with HD, so it's been a big difficult mess trying to figure out the presets in FCP in order to import and export. I eventually went with an "automatic preset" which just detects what I need (because I couldn't find any settings that would import my footage) and it imports it but I find that it speeds it up somehow and I don't like that. Thus far, I've just been slowing the footage down in the timeline, but I'm going to look into remedying that. As for compressing, I've just been trying different combinations of sizes and compressors. I'd like to find out a specific import and export preset for my camera in FCP. Anyway, it looks good though. Any significance with the Heinz Ketchup Bottle?

Not really. Heinz has a contest right now, so maybe subconsciously I was thinking of entering. Unfortunately, times running out on the contest and I just don't have the time right now.

Let me know if you figure out some good settings. Wait, are you even using FCP or something else? I find myself on my own with that because a lot of people seem to use something else, I guess.

I'm actually PC based and use Premiere Pro 2.0 right now. But, I do have a friend who owns the M2 35mm adaptor and is on FCP, so I'm quite familiar with FCP. Unfortunately, at this time, I don't know any magic settings for either.
