I spoke to a few people at ToteVision who explained to me that the 703HD is often referred to as the 703 because of a early coding mix up and the fact that the HD was not printed on the monitor itself. There is no such thing as a 703, so if you see that, it is in fact the HD.
B&H DOES sell this, but they do not stock it, so it will come from ToteVision.
I have purchased one and I'll have a FULL review of it once I get back from Vacation on Monday. It was a giant pain for me to find for the exact same reason.
I highly recomend asking specifically for the "ToteVision 703 Field KIT" version which I got for around $700. It includes a decent field carrying case with sunshade (pics to come) and a pocket for an included long life Battery. The downside is that the battery is fitted for the
totebag and would not work well if you are looking for a monitor mounted battery for on camera mounting (without the bag). Honestly for on camera mount, I prefer running a power cable to a source NOT addiing more weight to the top of the camera.

I just looked to spytown and I am in doubt if its the HD Monitor.
Totevision has 838 $ and spytown has 550$ Could it be the right one??
I am a little bit insecure?? Is there sch a big price area?

I did not, however you can certainly get it there. You will just need to talk to a rep on the phone and they can order it. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow of the case and the battery (since pics of them are next to impossible to find) The Case is just decent and the battery doesnt really work without the case, so Im not sue that the kit would be great for everyone. Tat battery does last a good long while. I shot with it for almost 5 hrs and it was still going. I have purchased the VidLED battery adapter for the HVX batteries which happens to work perfectly with the Monitor. You may be better off going that route.
I like the monitor, it is definitely serviceable, and for the price it is an excellent value.
The 703 IS the right monitor. YES! it actually is a great value. I priced just the monitor at $599, and I went with the KIT for $699 which included a case and long life battery which is fitted for the case. Its not actually a case its more of a fitted tote bag which offers very little padding or protection.
Hi all,
I want this Totevision 703 monitor but I want to be able to mount it to my camera. Does it come with a shoe mount? If not, where can I get one that would work?
And what would be a good sun shade?
From what i heard its just the monitor, thats why its cheaper then the kit version. I phone and emailed the guy at spytown about the kit version but that was 2 weeks ago and he did not reply.I have my own battery and i dont mind looking for the accesories myself so i went with this order. I'm trying to find a mounting solution. I was thinking of getting this bracket
and this mounting bracket
I would like to mount it to the side of the camera when i shouldermount the hvx. Using only the hotshoe adaptor i could always mount it directly on the cam when using a tripod.
Some people use a noga arm from what i read around the forum.
You might wanna play it safe and wait till my order comes trought since i dont think anyone ordered from that place yet....ill report as soon as i get it.
I got the monitor a few days ago, but its in USA and I am in Germany. Friends will bring it to me at next weekend. But spytown is a little bit strange. I sent them mails and mails with questions and never got an answer. I was short before to cancel the order and suddenly my friends called me, that the monitor arrived.
I hope it will be OK and work good, because to deal with a shop with such a poor communication is terrible.

Had to cancel my order at spytown. The item is drop shipped from totevision's warehouse. If you live in the sates it will be shipped the day following your order. I live in canada and in order to ship it to me they need to get it to their store first. Anyway i'm leaving for a month in 10 days and the chance that the monitor wont be here before i leave is too big.
Shame i was looking forward to it. I'll just keep using focus assist for now.
I just ordered the tote vision through G&G Video ([SIZE=-1]www.ggvideo.com). It was a good experience. They didn't list the 703 under their inventory, but they called up tote vision (keeping me on the phone as a conference call) and figured out what I needed. Between Tote Vision's confusing listings and B&H's rigid ordering system, the whole monitor buying experience through B&H is frustrating. Part of the confusion comes from the fact that T.V. sells a metal sunshade and they also sell a field kit. The field kit is described as a tote bag with a battery and ac adapter. There is no mention of the sunshade in the field kit. However, the bag's lid zips off apparently and becomes a sunshade. B&H weren't able to figure that out. They tried to make me by the sunshade plus the field kit. G&G quoted me a price of $675.00 for the monitor plus the kit. This is significantly less than the confusing quote I got from B&H. The monitor by itself was being sold by H&H for $560.00 (that doesn't include any means of actually powering the thing).
I just ordered everything minutes ago, so obviously I haven't received anything, and I can't vouch for the kit yet. But I'd recommend calling G&G if you want to buy this monitor. Ask to speak to Robert Greenberg. 800 422 2920. They're in NJ.
