Yeah, Wilson, we'll be putting out some other products yet.
The ones that this thread was intended for (! :)) are really nice, but with limitations for video as pointed out.

re: "normal" VIDLED's: I think I'll answer those quations directly to you via PM (trying not to get this thread too confusing with too many lights being discussed! :))

12V version made with three coolstrips, a connection box, switch, swivel ball head, and light stand adapter.

Works great!
(sorry, this unit already sold...)

Been a few weeks...I thought I would see if there is anything new on VIDLED's end on these light sticks. I love my warmVIDLED on camera light and am very interested in these led sticks.

Yes, should be about two to three weeks away now.

Will look similar to the above pics and there's also a version that can run off DVX/HVX battery (or any other camcorder battery) with a battery plate.

So you are going to package the fixture with 3 of the led strips attached to the dimond plate with the power box? Ball park price on that unit?

Okay, looks like it's going to be available soon:

About 10W to 15W LED power - depending on voltage: 10W @ 12V (only option if running off camcorder battery!),
or 15W @ 13.2V (available only with special battery pack).

With 5600mAh DVX battery (8oz), Swivel Head and light stand adapter, the whole thing weighs 3 lbs 2oz (1.4kg);
total length is 32" (810mm). Should run slightly over 2 hours on FULL brightness with the DVX/HVX battery (5600mAh).

Couple of powering options;
1) with a DVX/HVX battery (or SONY or CANON, etc.)
Voltage meter indicates supply battery voltage. Unit supplies constant voltage to LED lights, so there's no dimming as voltage of battery drops.
2) with a regulated battery supply

Not dimming, but has two switches, so can go 1/3, 2/3 and FULL.
Any combo of two different color temps available; i.e. 1 x cool + 2 x warm (~4500k); 2 x cool + 1 x warm (~5600k); 3 x cool (~8000k); or 3 x warm (~3200k). Color temps to be measured yet, approximations only at this stage.

Here's what it look like:

Nice work! I'm very interested in this now that we are talking batter power and only 3 lbs... I just thought of 37.5 fantastic uses!

Okay, pricing and availablity:

$625.00 USD, incl. swivel ball head & light stand adapter & battery adapter of your choice (Panasonic, Sony, Canon, etc.)
Regulated battery & charger, with 12V and 13.2V output (switchable) available for $180.00 USD; runs for about 5 hours.

Can be ordered now, although will take about 4 weeks for delivery.
We will probably run out of materials fairly fast, although we already ordered more, it will take some time to get here. So there will be interuptions in manufacturing.
We work on a first come, first served basis.

Of course there will be videos (where's Matt? :)) eventually.

Oh, and there's a DVXUSER discount of $75.00 right now, until further notice.

Photometrics to follow also....
