I telecined some super 16mm to DVCAM, then captured that into FCP 5.1.4. However, when I go to sync up the audio by in points, the back 1/4 or so of the audio is not included in the merged clip.
When I open up the individual audio clip in the browser, it is complete and can play all the way through. But when I open up the merged clip, that last 1/4 is missing. The sync works fine, it doesn't get out of sync or anything similar. Just that the last 1/4 of the audio is gone. I did a forum search, but the only thing I found was an unanswered thread from 2005, so any help is extremely appreciated.
Things I've tried so far:
When I imported the video from dvcam, there was no audio, but the clip was labeled at having a sample rate of 48.0 (khz?, Mhz?). My audio was recorded at 44.1. So I exported all of my 44.1 clips as 48.0 .aif clips, then re-imported the new 48.0 clips. I get the same dropping problem with clips of both sample rates. The bit depth is the same (16).
Thanks for reading this, and any help is extremely appreciated.
