kid struck by lightening while grooving to Metallica ("Ride the Lighting", I shi* thee not) on his ipod .... while mowing ... in a lightening storm.

Leaves burn marks in ears, where cord was, and blew out the back of the ipod.

Hearing damage in one ear, not sure if it is permanent.

Family suing Apple I think.

A - his fault for for mowing (attached to big metal device) while a THUNDERSTORM was brewing and using a small, partially metal ELECTRONIC device while lightning was crackling around the area, (and yes listening to METALlica, lol, though not really Ride the Lightening, I don't think)
B - is it not possible that the iPod gave the current a path (albeit a very hot path) and could have actually mitigated the effects of being struck by lightening? Maybe not, I think lightning usually passes through you and leaves burn holes in your hands or feet, which would be preferable to ears ... dunno ... just a thought.

poor kid. who knew it was dangerous to connect an electrical device to your head while gripping a large metal object in your hands during a thunderstorm?

Something like "your prayers have been heard" he definitely ride it. Or should I say it ride him.
