Super Hi-Vision 8K by 4K (7680 x 4320 pixels)

Saw this at NAB on a 50 foot screen.

Outta control.

Although after the beautiful RED 4KPROGRESSIVE ootage it was still kind of a let down, being that it was 8k interlaced.
 
so the lens that is used with that thing will probably be like a foot in diameter at the front element probably.
 
…NHK is also working on a 22.2 channel surround sound system.
7.1 surround is weak.
Give me 22.2 channels or give me death.
 
speaking of farting,
my friend's dad is developing an infrared camera (it can see pretty clearly in pitch black), and they were testing it at the tuscon airport.

One thing they found out is that if someone farts, you can see a huge cloud appearing around the person. They were all laughing hysterically when a proper little lady, dressed up all nice, let one go in the bag check line. All the people around her were making faces, must've been pretty hilarious.

I hope there is never a consumer infrared camera capable of that.
