Sachtler DV4 II or Manfrotto/Bogen 503/525

Hi,
currently I own the Manfrotto/Bogen 503/525 Head and sticks, but I'd like to upgrade to the next step...
Do you think the Sachtler DV4 II head with sticks is a step forward or backward...?
I'd like to rent the Sachtler DV4 II to try it, but there's no equipement rental in my area.
So I can't try it out. Has anyone made his own experience whith the DV4 II? Will it be a step forward or backward...?

Haven't tried the DV4 II.

But I have tried the new 503HDV. I find it very impressive, The 4step counter blance works well. The counter blance takes up to 4kgs. It might be a cheaper option just to change the head to the new 503HDV

I'd have to agree with David, all my experiences with the new 503 have been really pleasant and smooth.
