How to do a thorough uninstall of FCS 2?

Like many others Compressor 3 in FCS 2 is not working for me. Before I couldn't 'submit.' Now it won't even start up!

I tried trashing the apps and re-installing, no good.

So I tried reinstalling FCS 1, though it asks for the DVDSP 4 discs. Isn't '4' a FCS 2 update? This has me thinking I didn't completely uninstall FCS 2. And shouldn't I be asked for my SN?

How can I thoroughly uninstall FCS 2?

If you call Apple, they should be able to walk you through what needs to be done.

Or - you could try one of these:

Uninstaller
AppZapper

I've never personally used either of those utilities, so try them at your own risk.

When you reinstalled Compressor, did you use Pacifist or a similar program, or did you reinstall straight from the FCS 2 disks? I had no luck fixing this problem reinstalling straight from the FCS 2 disks, but was able to fix the problem when I reinstalled Compressor from the FCS 2 disks using Pacifist.

I don't believe the version number of DVD SP changed with FCS 2.
