SGfollow focus - adjustable lens gear - 32 pitch

Hi guys,

As we are approaching the release of the SGfollow focus, I would like to share a picture of the SGfollow focus lens gears.

Adjustable for lens focus rings between 52mm-80mm. 32 pitch (0.8 mod) teeth, black delrin.

I will post an image of the gear attached to a lens shortly.

Looks like a great product, and reasonably priced. I would also say it is at least 10% different than Dan's.

is there enough tooth left for a proper connection where the holes are? looks like you're dealing with millimeters there... maybe you could have less holes... do we really need 8? is 8 even better than 4 or even 3?

OR you could make it even more like Dan's and have a separate outer ring with no holes

The holes do not cause a problem, fortunately.

We do have a second design coming also, both will be available.

I personally like the redrock lens gears because i borrow/rent a lot of lenses and they are easy to take on/off rather quickly and don't damage the lens. And most still lenses will not need 360° rotation.

This and dan's gears both look very solid though.

I friend made some home made ones like this and the problem was trying to keep it even all the way around. Took some time to adjust since the gears need to sit nice and tight so there is no play in the unit.
