If this sounds familiar its because I posted it on CafeDVX where I got one response. What is a great affordable lens for my Redrock M2 adapter with no more than 1.4?
I am looking for a great lens for my m2 for a great price. I'm trying to stay within 1.2 to 1.4 stops.

I loose enough light with the M2 adapter.

I am currently using Canon FD lenses.

Canon FD 50mm 1.4
Canon FD 28mm 1.4

I heard alot of good things about Nikkon.

I do have mounts for Nikkon, Cannon FD, Olympus, & Minolta.

What do you suggest. I'm trying to get a better quality glass that will let in more light for an affordable price.

I'm not expecting a Carl Zeiss super speed lens for $200.00, but I'm sure theres something out there just as good with a price tag below $1200.00.

Thanks

Are you going to totally switch camps?
I imagine switching lens mounts to be pretty annoying.
I got my nikons 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.4, and 85mm 1.8 for $550
there are also some good zooms but those are 2.8 and you're looking for speed.

Definitely looking to go with one brand of lens. At the time when I brought my M2 I didn't know which brand offered the best quality image so I purchase a number of mounts. I hear good things about Nikkon lenses. Looking for something better than what I have currently.

I just PM'd you.
