Hey guys ... wanna help me solve a mystery?!

I shot a bunch of footage (on P2) with the following settings:

A) 1080i 24PA
B) 720 24PN (36 fps; some slo-mo)

Then imported using FCP Log and Transfer and converted to QT files.

Note: The "remove duplicate frames and advanced pull down" in Log and Transfer doesn't work - so I manually selected my QT files in FCP and removed Advanced Pulldown from the tools drop down.

My QT files are now:

A) Vid rate: 23.98 fps / DVCPRO HD 1080p30
B) Vid rate: 23.98 fps / DVCPRO HD 720p60

I was expecting to see 1080p24 and 720p24, respectively.

Any ideas why I'm getting 30p and 60p footage / qt files?

Ah, unfortunately not until I get back to NYC on Monday (in Chicago this week). But I have a pretty decent memory. What are you interested in?

Well you posted your vid rate as 23.98 and your compressor as 1080/60- that's not entirely out of the ballpark as in someplaces the generic 1080/60 is used to indicate the codec rather than the actual framerate. But I would want to see the numbers in your browser to be certain.
