And also, to someone who has seen "The TIger and the Snow", also from Begnini, the monologue he says to the blind doctor is pure writting masterpiece. I can't recall it line for line, but it goes something like this:

In the beginning of war Iraq, in a critical moment where his loved one is in need of clinical help, Begnini says to a blind doctor:

"Doctor, please save her. If she dies, than you can turn of the lights, the fireworks, take out the stars of the sky and pack this magnificent scenery of palaces and camels, because everything will just not make sense anymore."
