The "buy your own meals thing" just blows my mind.
Never underestimate the power of a good meal. I've lead many a PA to my lair in hell, with grilled Salmon.

Seriously, you can work someone to the bone but if you give them quality food all that pain melts away real quick.

my suggestion, just leave the clueless dude to his cluelessness. best revenge is to be focused on your own success while he wonders why there is such poor response to his posting and how his shoot got so f*^ked up.

Unfortunately, he did get an actual person interested AND a call that he believed to be real from myself. Unfortunately now this guy thinks he'll always be able to do this.

If you are talking to me specifically, and I believe you are, my answer is that it certainly does. Maybe it will not directly affect me, but it affects the industry. If the film/video industry is ever going to move forward, these kind of people need to either step aside or wise up.
If guys posting outrageous ads like this one continue to get away with it and hook ignorant people to work for him as PAs, it is just unfair to the industry itself.
