how long before it ships from b&h photo?

They process and ship same day if you order in the morning (before 11). If you order later than they will process and ship next day.

Depending on where you live there may be no need to pay for certain shipping methods. I live in PA and my order always arrives within 1 day even if I pick the lowest cost shipping option.

We endeavor to ship all orders within one business day. Orders with priority handling a/k/a rush shipping, for which the customer has paid a premium, get priority, as is appropriate.

If I'm looking at the right transaction, we received it 6/26 and it should be out of here today.

so i'm all psyched to get this package and guess what arrived today...
a roll of gaffer tape. that's it. lol.

hopefully the rest of the stuff will come in tomorrow.

Ouch!! Sorry 'bout that. UPS says the rest is in box #2, scheduled for delivery today, Friday.
 
they usually ship within a day or two if they actually carry the item in stock otherwise it could take a week if the item you ordered is a drop-ship item... the manufacturer will send it to B&H then B&H will send it to you. happened to me once.
 
everything arrived today.. although i thought i was was supposed to get a free panasonic hpx500 for being a member of dvxuser.com. that's okay, you can just send the hpx next week.
 
one of the items i purchased was a carbon fiber boom pole. is it possible to use it as a monopod? let's say i needed to put the dvx on top of the pole in order to see what is going on in my neighbor's second story window. could i do this or would it be too much weight?

You're confusing D/S with out of stock. A D/S item ships directly from the manufacturer/importer/supplier to the customer. An out-of-stock item ships to us first and then we reship.
