Any easy way to match color from a clip?

I have a shot that the color is off from the rest of the footage because it is with a different camera and the white balance was not set to match. Anyway, I am colorblind and can't get the color to look close to all the other clips no matter how much I mess with color corrector filters.
Anyone know of any "color matching" filters or anything that could help me out?
Thanks in advance.
I have FCS 2
Being color blind sucks sometimes....

Not being colorblind, I have to ask you, how do you know if your color is off?

I would use the 3D scopes in Color to try to tweek things somewhat close, but you'll need a good white balance.

Well, I can tell it looks different, just not sure how it is different. More green, more yellow, saturated, etc. It makes me crazy. This was from a camera I was not operating as I am very careful with white balance because I know I have this handicap in post.
Haven't messed with color yet so maybe I will try that tonight. Thanks. Might just be I need to get some help from someone who sees color properly....

Post some screengrabs from both scenes. I'll see what I can do, post them back, and tell you how I did it.

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Yes, that works well Capt.

Jazz dog get those stills up - make sure they are full res grabs - then Im sure someone can do a little cc work to match and pretty much tell you what you need to do.

Heres a little cc I did. It would be much better to take the extra time to cc her skin tones and the reds seperately.

Your originals (I used the un ccd original)

Mine plus copy of 3 way cc panel.

Cool thanks.
Problem is it cuts right from the upper body shot to the wide full body shot so the color difference is a bit jarring. She mentioned it. What I am looking to do is make these two shots look as close to each other in color as possible. Do you think it is possible?

Here's what I did...

First, add a color corrector - not 3way. Shift the hue a little toward purple just to match the yellow walls.

Now - walls are good... skin is a mess.

Add a 3way below the CC filter.

push white HARD toward Magenta until you see the skin turn. Pull MIDS away (almost as hard) from Magenta to compensate on the walls. When done... nudge blacks toward blue... just to clean up.

Just a quick one... still need a little better tweak...

Good luck,

This is what I got - all I did was first white-balance the ceiling. Even though its not white I still did this because

a) it can neutralize all the other colors to one
b) i can grade it back to its right colors later - i just needed to balance everything

CaptainMench that looks great and a lot less jarring as the colors seem more similar (to me at least)

uTurn - yours looks real good. It is the first time where the red sash thing looks the same in both pics. If you have time can you tell me exactly what you did to achieve this look. I really appreciate it. (How do you white balance in FCP?)
I am used to doing little indy films where I can turn mistakes into advantages but this instructional video has been a huge learning experience for me.
Thanks!

Jazz Dog -

To white balance, first you must use COLOR CORRECTOR 3-WAY, click on the eyedropper under the WHITES, and click on the ceiling.

Since it's not really white, its yellow - the color for the rest of picture will pretty bad and disoriented. It doesn't matter because your going to grade it and fix it later.

Now go to your other clip that you want to match. Do the same thing and click on the same part of the ceiling if you can. This will look pretty bad also but it is officially BALANCED with the other clip. Even the sash color matches.

I also worked on the contrast between those two by checking the WAVEFORM monitor. I made it a little darker to fit the other.

After that, I tweaked the skin color a little - made it more closer to the flesh tone line (even though its not that necessary)

After all that, I graded both of them using the MIDS color wheel.

One more thing is - I have a professional broadcast monitor so it makes the job a little easier.

I'm not that good at it - I just have an eye for it - maybe someone who has more knowledge can help you out a little better.

I also messed up a little bit on the reflection of the woman in the mirror (on the second picture)

but if i didn't tell you, you would never have noticed. (or maybe you might have)

the thing is.. it won't be PERFECTLY the same but try to do what you can so it won't confuse the person who watches your video.

in terms of the sash, its very important since its the center of the image - so it MUST be the same color or else we will get distracted.
