Ikan V8000HD Monitor - Batteries Hard to Remove?

I bought some Sony brand "L" series batteries for the Ikan V8000HD monitor and while they do power the screen alright, you have to pull hard enough to break the darn thing to get the batteries out.

Given the brute force I'm using to get the battery loose, I'm confident that I'm either doing something wrong, or the display has a defective casing.

Anyone else had this issue with an "L" series battery and/or the V8000HD?

I have had this same issue. The first time I tried to pull the battery out, I thought for sure I broke something. However, it does seem to be getting easier, and now I just slowly push it out and it comes out better...although occasionally I might have to push harder than I feel comfortable.

Hey, thanks for sharing... a few of us seem to have the same experience, and one of our forum peers went to Ikan with the issue. Doesn't seem to be a unique problem, so I feel better than I'm not alone, at least. =-)

what battery are you guys using? i'm trying to find an l-series battery but dont want to order or buy the wrong kind.
