hey guys,
I upgraded to vegas 7 and have a question that I cannot find the answer for. I would like to delete a piece of audio from a clip and simply lay a video clip over another to make an edit.In vegas 5, I was able to highlight the audio portion of a clip and simply delete the audio if I wanted to, now it seems in vegas 7, I cant do it for some reason.Any help would be appreciated, I did a search on this but came up empty.Thank you.

Dave

If you want it to act like earlier versions of Vegas, go into Options > Preferences. Click on the Editing tab and uncheck "Cut, copy and delete grouped events"

there's also a little Group/Ungroup Icon in the toolbar that can be used to temporarily unlink all video and audio - useful if you're importing a bunch of video files with rubbish audio
