Hey. Can you please rate my site design. This is just a test page, but i would like to no what people think. Generally people think it is good so far, but i would like peoples opinion here.

PLEASE NOTE:THIS PAGE MAY TAKE A WHILE TO LOAD BECAUSE I HAVE NOT COMPRESSED THE IMAGES

Honestly, there's just too much that jumps out at you. I didn't know where to look... You have good looking content, but I think it needs to be better organized.

I think it would work better if you kept 1 or 2 sections wide. For example, with the "Free" stuff on the top row, have that be a separate row with just those 2 side by side. I would have a colored background for each header. Start the section with 1 wide, the "Free product" area with the cow. Add some text to the right, a brief description, if you will - and then the "more" button. That will make the user want to click the "more button."

It looks like a typical portal with too much going on. Unless you know what you are looking for its the type of site where I would leave right away.

It kind of looks like you are using the istockphoto look. Not sure if that is what you are aiming for but theirs seems more concise.

The blue on the top of the page does not blend in well to the rest of the page. Then you have a big banner in the middle which effectively divides the page . Normally I would think the banner would be the bottom of the page but there was more.

It just looks like their is to much information. Somehow the site manages to look like there is a a lot of empty space and to much clutter at the sametime.

Hi, We are not trying to copy the istockphoto website. We have tried lots off different designs and this is the one that i think is the best. Yes, i do agree the content in the middle of the page is a bit much. We are not just trying to change the content in the middle of the page around to see the best comnination.

Thanks,
Nathaniel

Ideally i am really struggling here. If anyone whats to do a mock up i can offer them 60% royalites plus. Only if there design is good. I am thinking of including some flash in the top centre. Also please tell me what you think now. I have just changed the background to white.

Thanks,
Nathaniel

> Logo - make it an image ( I guess there is someone who is working on it?)
> Slogan below logo - wrap it in

keep it text
> Vertical repeat grey gradient - first time I see this. Should be horizontal.
> Images - rule: keep them all the same size, it will align the cells better and it won't look messy.
> Scroll - too much scroll for a intro page. 50% of visitors will not bother to scroll till the end of the page - where you have the big blue button ( which should be smaller anyway).
> Top Selling Projects - why it has another style from the other categories? rule: keep the style in a repetitive manner.
> Bottom link bar - should be center aligned.

Overall there are some major inconsistencies try to simplify your style. If you keep the images the same size it will start looking better, then see how more you can align the elements.

Site renders under Opera on Linux with nothing appearing to break. Did get an SSL warning which would prevent us from doing business:

The certificate for "idea7.dmediashop.net" is signed by the unknown Certificate Authority "EssentialSSL CA". It is not possible to verify that this is a valid certificate.

Visually the site lacks a tasteful use of white space and consistent use of fonts and font sizes. It appears to be an incomplete adoption of a template.

Content-wise, the site does not convey what you're offering quickly enough. I'm more likely to hit the back button than search around the home page.

"Free video for the week" seems awkward. I prefer "Free video of the week" or "This week's free video".

That looks much nicer. I still don't "get it" when I first hit the page. Perhaps some type of catchy byline that tells me what you do/sell/offer would help.

The site has a catchy byline:
Marketing your creativity
Because the creators of this site lack creativity so we thought we would sell your creativity instead.

I will admit i have never been good at designing web sites. Its only now im starting to get the hang of it. Design wise. My photograhpy and videoography sells though, so i must be something right.

Thanks,
Nathaniel

The new look is better though I will still change the banner at the top. Far to much blue and far to much empty space. If you redesign the top banner I think it would look much better.
