I am shooting a film on my DVX-100b in 24pa. We captured the footage into Final Cut using the advanced pulldown preset. When we watched through the footage in Final Cut in a 23.98 timeline, we noticed that the audio drifted over the course of the hour long clip. It starts off ok, but then by the end of the tape, the audio is about 15 frames ahead of the image. Is there a problem with capturing an entire tape that was recorded in 24pa because of the cadence possibly reseting after each take? Also, would it be a better idea to capture it using the standard 29.97 capture and remove the pulldown using that option in the tools menu? The footage also looks really wierd when played back in FCP. It looks like big interlace bars running across the footage. This is the first time I have used 24pa mode, and I am in a little bit of a time crunch, so if anyone could help, I would really apprecicate it.
