Scratch Disks

I work on multiple projects in FC around the same time. Is there a way to make final cut remember where my scratch disk is set to for each of the projects rather than always using the most recently set location.

Thanks

I've been wondering the same thing. In my research and trial and error I think you have to keep switching back manually, but if there is a way to have it know based on project that would be great.

Maybe its changed with FCP 6?

I can't speak to 6 (waiting on like a giant order of more licenses so we can roll out all suites at once), but generally speaking, no.

A handy thing though is to make a general folder that holds all your capture scratches. Set that high folder as the capture scratch and then it will generate sub-folders for each specific project. So if you have 3 projects open, add various new clips to each project, it'll file the clips into the correct/associated sub-folders for you. Unless you're using a different physical drive entirely each time, then yah you have to go in and reset your disk manually.

cheers.
