Apple extends Web browser to Windows

Well, two things off the bat:

1) As usual, you have to download/install Quicktime with it.

2) It doesn't work. It's a beta version, I know, but there's no useful functionality.

There are no drop-down menus evident. They're there -- you can highlight buttons -- but the menus are blank. You also can't type anything into the address bar.

Take a look -- notice the highlighted link button, but no text, and no text not only in the browser controls, but in the web page, either, except in JPEGs/GIFs:

I uninstalled/reinstalled. Same thing.

If anyone's got any suggestions, let me know, because I'd like to spend some time actually USING it before I make any decisions . . .

Well, just clicking around random invisible buttons, I can get to preset links like Amazon, eBay, etc.. I will say this -- the pages may not have text, but they do load a lot faster than Firefox or IE.

I just installed it and it works but for some reason if i try to maximize it on my middle screen it jumps to the 3rd screen... And since i do most my browsing on the middle screen I'm gonna stick with FF until that problem is fixed.

Looks horrible, 0 good plug ins, No new features, Gives me a headache because of clear type font thing?, Doesn't work well with dual monitors, doesn't resize correctly, Doesn't support middle click scrolling, Horrible page rendering, somehow has changed colors of some of the sites i visit, no Decent WMV support. Do i need to say more, or should i just do this.
www.getfirefox.com - This isn't a mac or PC thing, this is a Good thing.

Well, it is beta. Clear type is a Miscrosoft thing from the OS, has nothing to do with Safari...IE7 uses it.

I noticed that all the type on this site is slightly blurry if I use Safari. Everything is normal on Firefox.

i dunno.... it really honestly works great. Somethin was wrong, with my firefox and IE7. they couldnt show embedde video, like youtube, QT, flash, etc....

In safari it works great!

When I had my Mac, I had all sorts of trouble with Safari and ecommerce sites. Overall I think it's nicer than IE, but Firefox blows it away with all the sick extensions you can get.

I prefer "healthy" extensions myself

I installed it, it opened fine, but when I tried to browse to any site it caused an error and shut itself down. Uninstalled and will happily continue using Firefox.

I will continue using Safari as I'm on a Mac and it works like a champ for me. That is to say... text loads fine, fast, plays embedded videos, no e-commerce problems, etc. :)
