14. Decsent Fiber optic Boom-Pole
15. Bunch of Panasonic Mini-Dv Tapes.

Now these are the things i would need your advices the most:

Before i go-on with the list let me explain briefly what is my plan of action is going to be. Well, I have been in the States for 20 yrs. Movies are my passion all along!! Have seen well over 5000 movies so far!! For last 2 years i started
building my interest of working in the real field. Since, then i have started studying!! No-have visited this site more religiously than me for last one and half years and i wish somehow i could prove that!!:) :) I have learnt soooo-much from this site alone that i can't thanks enough!!:) :) :) Barry Green, Andy_starback, Timur, Jeremy, Mattin_Stl, Thoff, Richard( Cool Lights ) and
so many others i love you guys so much!!

Cut the long story short, i will be move back to my country Bangladesh by
the end of this monfor meth and hope to start making Fiction-Non Fictions primarily for the TV industry, which is obviously still in analog SD medium. My first major concern is which VTR would be suitable for me to dub my footage in
DVCAM tape? I am mostly planning to shoot in HVX's Dvcpro-50 format!!

1. Is it DSR25,30, or 45? Or something else.
2. To use DV Rack Hd2 via PC Laptop fluidly primarily use as a monitor
sometimes off-load or record directly in the Hard-Drive( External) What would
be the minimum specs. requiremnt for the PC? And which one ? and where from?
3. Tripod, TH-950 DV Libec or Bogen-516?
4. Won't have enough money for Steadycam, However, which Stabilizer?Dvtech's HD multirig or Glidecam 4000 pro?
5. Carmount: Filmtools, Dvtech or Sticky-Pod?
6. Which Lav and Mixer ( $1000)?
7. ND, CTO, CTB gels from Filmtoos, B&H or somewhere else?
8. Black Duvetine, Black wrap, French Flag, Skrims,Multidisc Reflector, Some neccessery Mounts??
9. ND.3,Nd .6 solid or grad? Circular Polarizer, Pro-mist, UV 4x4 or 82mm? Where from? Tiffen or schnieder?
10. Wide angle lense Convrter or adapter?
11. Varizoom's remote focus, iris, zoom controler is it worth it since i am gonna
use 35mm adapter ( not always though)?

I don't know if i will have money left for lights though!! If not i will rent those
to begin with and will try to make some Cool-Lights following Richard's useful
DVD instructions!!

Does anyone know what is serveyor's Tripod is? As dan mentioned in his Killer Camera Rigs Books. Where to find those? For dolly and Crane i will religiously follow his instructions to make those with some wonderful Handy-man's help!!

Please, wish me good luck, and as Barry said i will upload my first video footage in Dvxuser asap!! His wish is my caommand!! Lol!!

Thanks and sorry for the long post!! And am i missing something??

The Glidecam 4000 is a steadicam.

Also, you're probably best to go with either all nikon or all canon lenses, as changing the lense mount out just isn't really practical (you have to unscrew 4 allan key screws from memory).

Haven't heard much at all about the NTG-1 shotgun. The NTG-2 is supposed to be pretty good value for money - check the sound forum.

Get at least an extra 2 or 3 batteries.

Good luck mate.

Thanks for your input tmnt!! I will than go all with Nikon Lenses and will get 2 more batteries as you suggested.

And, as for the NTG-1 i am quoting you from the infamous Jeremy Orden:

Two final quick notes:
NOTE ONE: I suggest the Rode NTG1 as the baseline shotgun microphone for two reasons: 1. I think it sounds better and fuller than the AT897 or Sennheiser ME66. If you disagree with this then by all means please go ahead and substitute the AT897 or ME66 in place of the Rode!!

Thanks a lot for your inputs!! I am desperetly waiting for other peoples input too!!

As Jeremy says - is a baseline minimum. There are much better out there. AT4073A is popular. The Octava also is pretty good, however I find mine doesnt operate extremely well in large rooms, in a compact area that has fairly dead sound it works well for me, large open rooms - not so well. I think an AKG Blueline will get you further, a lot more expensive however. The preamps on the HVX are pretty good. Initially I would spend the extra few $ on better mics and hold on the premixer, I mean that as a start point, not that I dont think a premixer is a worthwhile and key part of the audio set up.

Skip that model Libec, its not at the same level as the Bogen 516, but they do have some other models that are better to check out.

Dear Ncje,

You are absolutely right about the AT4073a and about AKG Blueline, however,
when it come's to my country it's entirely different story! 95% of the cameras are still sony dsr-450 or some other kind of Betacam or Beta sp!! As of today there is only one person have a HVX-200!! Even though it is way cheaper than
Sony Betacams!! One of the most promising DP i have talked to have absolutely no clue about 35mm. adapters!! Some of them use even HMI lights for there shooting purpose whereas there is only one light-house have only one KIno-Flo!! Where as, Flourescent should be there first choices( Heat-wise,
and electricity consumption wise).

One of the Cable TV owner argued with me that it is highly worth-less to make any feature film with DIGITAL CAMERA!! So far there is only one feature film have made by digital camera!! Even if the "movie" only shown on there SD-Analog TV channels they prefer to shoot with 35mm. camera!!:huh: You know what is more funnier? The whole country has only 3 35mm. cameras!! you have to be a wealthy and well-connected person to get a hold on one of those Camera... Story goes on and on... Things are changing though:thumbup::thumbup:!!

So, i have to be very careful where i should skimp the money and where i really need to spend the money!! One thing i acn assure you though i will be the first person who will use a Laptop as a monitor and using Vetroscope or
waveform monitor to check my color and light through DV RACK :beer:!!

How would i know which model of Libec Tripod will be the same level of Bogen 516? If you please let me know....

Thanks again for your feedback:):).
