No Audio on my DVX??!!??

In the middle of a shot, my audio just vanished?? pooof... I was just using the internal mic. I have Ch1 and Ch2 set to INT and the channel audio levels are up...so the obvious stuff is okay.. Any ideas????
 
Is it not picking up audio when recording, or is the audio monitoring (via headphone) not working? We've had a problem with the audio monitor button not adjusting the volume.
 
A different way to ask the same question: Are your audio level meters responding? If there's no audio at all coming in, that's one thing, but maybe it's coming in and your headphone jack just died so you can't hear it?
 
My audio level meters are not responding at all. Whether or not I'm recording, there is nothing. My monitor works fine though...I tested it with another tape. Do you guys think it's something internal? I'm worried I got a lemon... It only has 54 hours on it and it's already had a lot of problems...
 
Thanks guys.. I tested an external mic and nothing. I tried resetting the factory settings and....nada. Anything I'm missing before I knock of panasonic's door???
