I have several vcds and would like to do some space saving. So id like to know what the best way would be to burn these movies onto 1 dvd. Maybe 4 movies onto one dvd. They are 352x240 NTSC 29.976 Progressive and are as dat files (after being copied out of the vcds). Vegas accepts these files on the timeline but DVDA doesnt. But shouldnt be a problem since i can render out of Vegas and then compile within DVDA. I tried selecting the 352x240 NTSC template thats within DVDA but still im able to fit 3 movies onto the dvd only by lowering the bitrate to about 3 Mbps is this enough to maintain the original quality of the vcd file ?

How come David ?

Ive rendered to mpeg2 dvda templates. The actual resulting file is only 1.3 gb (its 1 hr) the second half of the movie from the next vcd is the second file. together they are only 2.6 gb. But drop them into DVDA and voila ! they are 160% of a 4.7 gb dvd. How come ? How to get over this ? How could it be too much info for a dvd. Even an uncompressed video file which is massive will once compressed to video standards come down in size. How can the size of a dvd compatible file just double up in size ?
