Home Made Fisheye

worst idea ever, not even worth it, there will be so much vignetting. you sugested this to another person on here in this same forum, and i also told him what a horrible idea it is.

yeah, sorry, but with a camera as nice as a DVX, why would you sink that low.

suck it up and save for a MKII

if youve got 3k for a DVX, you can get 800 for a fisheye.

if you REALLY cant bring yourself to buy one, at least get the $300 one from century (also for the DVX).....

or you could get the mkII vx2100/pd150 etc bayo, and take off the bayo ring, get some spacers, and it's close in width to the dvx "death". no matter what, there will be alot of vignetting.

I don't understand the appeal of taking the beautiful image the DVX provides and screwing it up by distorting it beyond recognition.

Damn skateboarders... *mumbles something about "in my day"*

Thanks Mangler, the reason i am considering this option is because living in South Africa, the prices on lenses here is ridiculous. I paid the equivalent of 5 months salary for my camera and that was a bargain. The chances of me saving up again within the next couple of years is not an option. I only use the camera to shoot for local BMX videos which still cost me money to produce. Don't want to whine, but thats the reality of living here, good weather and good surf mean no spare change for other stuff.
