Hello !
I've been looking at buying lighting for a while now and was about to buy the ianaro 3x800w redhead kits when I stumbled across this on the DVinfor forum.
http://www.filmteknik.co.uk/
Its been set up by a DP/Director here in the UK who got fed up with his Ianaros breaking and decided to find a great product at an affordable price that he could use and also sell on to others.
I was impressed after I saw the site and the descriptions, so I emailed him and arranged a telephone call to iron out my last questions. From that I ordered the flexible 3x1000W Red head kit, the reason being is that you can also use 600W bulbs with it immediately giving you more flexible options in terms of lighting.
He also does a 3x800W kit and the prices are very good. Here in the UK, the Ianaro's cost £650 plus vat bringing it to almost £800. His similar kit costs around £620 inclusive of the vat [a saving of almost 20%].
There's also a dimmer that can handle a 2000W load so that opens up your lighting options even more so!
Mine should arrive in the next week or so [just waiting for the 1000ws to coem back into stock, so I will post a review, some piccys and some test footage.
What's also great is that he's expecting his first flourescent kit to arrive this week to test. Once he's happy with that he'll post the prices and product description.
With softboxes for the redheads, flourescent lighting kits and proposed fresnels all in the pipeline, if the red heads are good I can see me getting my complete range of lights from him.
As I said, I'll let you know once they arrive and how I get on...
Thanks
Majormorgan
