"lost" season finale

i dont watch it often enough to know whatsgoing on, though peple who do watch it seem to be in the same boat..... But DAMN its pretty in HD.

My wife and I are hooked. Things were starting to move a little slow there for a while, but the last 3 episodes have sucked me back in. I'm pretty impressed overall with the writing team. I just hope the finale won't leave too many things up in the air.

I'm with snodart, they've really started making up for the earlier part of the season. I hope Wednesday isn't a big let down.

Personally I think it's the best show on TV. Let me rephrase that...
Since 24 decided to become completely rediculous, over the top, moronic, and have more story lines than Angelina Jolie has causes, and since Entourage and The Sopranos have traded in great story telling for boring the crap out of me [still they are quality], and since Nip/Tuck jumped the shark, Lost is the only show I watch that I enjoy.

I'd much rather just become a shut in for a weekend and watch an entire season (like I did with Season's 1 & 2) but I can't wait for the finale. I've been trying really hard not to read spoilers (My name is Jeremy and I'm addicted to reading spoilers for Lost. I haven't read a spoiler in 3 weeks... Hi Jeremy) but I know there is a complete breakdown of the finale out there.

I really think that the producers have worked their asses off to deliver something that will keep us going until next February.

I can't believe that we have to wait until February though, sort of pisses me off, but in the end, I am looking forward to seeing the developments, changes, and seeing what questions get answered.

I'm completely hooked and if you didn't get into it... go rent the first season, it's a complete show from the acting, cinematography, directing, and story telling.

yeah, im with u guys. the second season was so good. Then the third season came and i was starting to believe they "lost" it. That diamond episode made me wanna throw something at the TV.

these last 2 episode brought me back in. Im crossing my fingers for Wednesday

The only thing that sucks about this show is, it was originally written for 3 seasons. But it was such a success that they picked up a fourth season. So, now instead of having everything answered at the end of the third season, they had to write filler episodes and introduce new plot lines which kind of pisses me off. That's probably the reason it got boring and went nowhere for parts of certain seasons.

Actually you're wrong. It was written for 4 seasons and now it is running 6 seasons (albeit with Seasons 4 5 & 6 being 16 episode seasons).

The producers talk about this on the Season 1 DVD as well on numerous podcasts.

I think its running 6 seasons, not 5. At least thats the last I heard.
Knowing that there are 3 more seasons means that nothing that is happening now is important or going to get them off the island anytime soon. What about the first two seasons being all about the numbers, now all thats forgotten. I mean its an interesting show and I watch it but it just leaves me frustrated everytime. It just seems like they are concentrating on making the show a cliffhanger at the end of every episode instead of having it make sense.

12 hours... can't friggin wait.

... It would have been great if they had ended the show with 108 episodes.

In a podcast the producers said the numbers are coming back next season with a vengence.

I really want to see this series, but I think I will wait a few more years until all the episodes are released on DVD.

These huge story arc series are a pain in the a$$ to watch. I love 'em, but watching on a week by week basis, then waiting months for new episodes, over a period of many years...that's just too much for me.

I'd rather just buy the DVD sets and watch 'em all backtobacktobacktobacktoback over a couple weeks.

Thats what I did with the series that originally mastered this whole story arc concept: Babylon 5.

I watched all 5 seasons in a little under a month.

Good times.
