id doubt SERIOUSLY that those guys actually have them in stock. as far as i was told by the manufacturer themsleves - B&H and video guys are the two dealers who have claims to the first batches. of course this was a couple weeks ago so who knows what the current state is...

damn, they're selling it for $150 more than what it's regular price. i think i'll wait another week or two.

i called ikan today and the sales guy mentioned they were shipping their product out to all the stores (b&h, etc) tomorrow. glad i waited. i was about to get something else.

B&H will be closed Tomorrow thru Thursday. I'll be stopping in on Friday. Hopefully they'll be there, but I'm not 100% sold on the Ikan. Hopefully I can see one in person.

arrik, unles you are doing color critical big budget feature work - the ikan will likley be great for you. i dont know if you've seen my pics but you can count the winds on the low e string of an electric guitar shot with an hvx.

are the marshall nebtek and pannasonic better? probably, but is it worth the 2x+ price increase - that depends on your needs and the kind of work you do...
