cameras used by RRodrigues and Heroes

Charli

cool little "title"
By chance would anyone know what camera they use on the set of "Heroes" or what camera RRodriguez used in "Once Upon A Time in Mexico?" I'm just curious to what hi-def cameras were used, is all, nothing more than that, just curious.

fix - I didn't realize they used film. Thanks for that link.

all - and you wonder why some people around here don't ask questions, it's because of answers like this laced with sarcasm and of little use. I had a geniune question. Why comply if you have little light to offer?

Fix - again, thanks for the link. I do appreciate it.

Agreed. "Heroes" is continually shot on 35mm, "Once Upon A Time In Mexico" was shot on the Sony F900 CineAlta.

OMG thanks for the links, you guys are awesome. Shooting the television show in film, I can't imagine what the overall expense that is just for film.

not much really. The film is only a minor cost to a show like 24, heroes, etc..... This is why the digital cameras have had trouble making inroads in to the Motion picture industry. they only spend $500,000 out of a 200,000,000 budget on film and processing. They arent really gonna save all that much by shooting on digital. it only makes monetary sense when your over all budget is like 10,000.

Network dramas have traditionally always been shot on film; most still are IINM. HD has made some inroads into sitcoms and such, but I think most big-budget dramas are still shot on 35mm.
