Im on OSX with the latest version of FCP.

I exported the 2 hour file to Compressor and then exported from thre which gave me 3 files

MPEG-2 5.0Mbps 1-pass 4/3.m2v

Dolby 2.0.ac3

AIFF 48/16.aiff

I never burn my projects to DVD, they are always for the web. Soo I'm not sure what I need to do with these files. I dont think I even have DVD Studio Pro.

So

A) What do i need to burn
B) How do I burn as a DVD that 'll work overseas

Its very simple, just drag your files to your CD burning program, such as Toast by Roxio. And choose PAL instead of NTSC and you should be good to go. Compressor also had the option of outputting your project in PAL mode if Im not mistaken. As for the 3 files, you can drag just the m2v and either audio file to your burner.

Actually, its my understanding that recent European stuff will play NTSC DVDs just fine as is. I have friends in the UK who will attest to this. Apparently, any new products, TVs, DVD players, etc. from the last few years will play both no problem. Too bad it isn't the other way around.

Yep- there's not much need to make a Pal DVD unless the original video content is Pal. An NTSC disc with the correct region codes enabled will play in a Pal player.
