Fellowship for Christian Writers

Larry Rutledge

Fest Master
I just came across this and thought it might be of interest to other Christian writer's here. There is a non-residency, screenwriting fellowship for Christian writer's called Art Within Labs (http://www.artwithinlabs.org).

Up to 5 entrants will be selected and paid $10,000 for a year long non-residency fellowship. The selected fellows will be flows to a 2-week writing intensive and during the course of the year will be expected to write a new script, with the help of industry professionals and peers.

All writing remains the property of the author, but the fellowship does retain a 2 year option on the work, after which the work returns to the author if it doesn't sell.

-Larry R, do you use a Dvorak keyboard? Weird question, I'll explain why if you do.

-I want to change my username also, can anyone do this or do you have to be tight with a mod?

Do you have to be a Christian to apply? I worship the god Marduk, who gives me courage and virility. But I've done a lot of acting so am really good at pretending.

Nope, sorry...though I have been curious about it for several years. If it wouldn't take so much time to re-learn, I'd be intrigued to re-map my keyboard and give it a try.

Jarred is the only one that can do it. Just send him a PM with the new name. Also, to make it easier for him, include a link to your profile.

I have a feeling your being sarcastic, but decided to answer anyway because it is addressed (at least in the ART WITHIN fellowship). Here's the answer from their FAQ (for those who may seriously asking this question):

Q: Can I apply if I don't consider myself a Christian?
Yes. We are looking for talented screenwriters interested and willing to explore Judeo-Christian themes and wrestle with tough spiritual questions in their work. If you are willing to do this, then we invite you to apply.

I'll shoot Jarred a PM. Larry the reason I ask is because you made a typo that would be very unlikely on the qwerty and likely on the dvorak.

I just switched to the Dvorak 1.5 months ago and I already type 90-100wpm. I typed 135wpm with the qwerty, but I stopped improving and I don't like the idea of plateauing at anything.
