Led color "red" rope lights? Any ideas

I have a project where I need to install red lights on the chains of a swing in a park. They need to be red and not 120 volt but 12 volt for a bunch of reasons I hav e no control over. Any product ideas? All of the other lighting around the swings will also be battery operated and I am fine with that.

If they are 12v you don't even need an inverter... just wire up the battery. Be careful... but it sounds like an easy one to me.
 
Thanks guys I think I will use a couple of battery belts. The probelem with using inverters like the eliminator sold in Canada is though they do have a 12 volt output the fact that there is an inverter that creates 120 volts will oblige me to ground everything.
DId anyone purchase LED Christmas lights this year? Do you know if they have a dc stepdown transformer built into the string of lights? If not how is the voltage dropped?
