Has anyone else taken a look at this yet? I downloaded an HD podcast from the Washington Post, which so far seems to be the only outfit doing HD podcasting, and it looks pretty good ... not quite full HD but better than standard-def, and MUCH MUCH better than the little thumbnail size video iTunes normally provides for video podcasts. And at full screen on my 24" display it looked crisp and clear!! (Though the one I watched got me dizzy as the cameraman really needs to learn the meaning of "steadicam")

I'm going to play around with this and try some HD podcasting with the HVX. I've been doing a video podcast for some time now and this is exciting, and a way to get an edge on the competition as people out there (especially Apple TV customers) are hungry for HD content.

BTW, here's my current podcast on iTunes:

Whoa! This is really really interesting to me. I've never done a podcast before. Is it simple to do? Do I need some sort of software other than FCP studio?

Thanks

No, I use FCP to export as a quicktime movie and upload it to my blog, and I use FeedBurner.com (free) to enable iTunes file wrapping on my feed. The only other thing you need to do is go into iTunes and add your podcast feed to the directory.
