Why did they close your' account and ask you to refund everyorder? Was it the chipped adapter story? Were all twenty models sold chipped? Over all I say that that was a hard way to learn a big lesson in buissness. You weren't actually making a living from this were you ? I only assume you have another job to pay the bills, and this is a side line. There is so little information on Apefos out there that I can't imagine you have sold too many units. I don't think inviting paypal to see this thread was a very good idea. I guess that's what happens when you don't tell people information in advance. Maybe if you have dealt with bruiserbox properly from the get go this would not have escalated to closing/selling your' company. Unfortunatley us hvx owners still don't know if your adapter even works on an hvx. Bruiserbox was so intent on giving us the pros, that he got stuck in the cons. A full refund was not enough for him (or as he claims you said you were officially not going to give him one) to try out the adapter and try to help the community at large. I think bruiserbow was unrealistc in thinking that an unknown adapter off of ebay for 290 $ was not going to come with it's own drawbacks. I don't even know if he owns an hvx, though apparently he bought some p2 cards. But so far his only thread here is his apefos purchace, so maybe asking for a test from bruiserbox is as far fetched as buying an adapter for 290$ What an official waste of time for everyone. I blame myself for getting involved, good luck to both of you.

still asking meself, if you can buy a nice HVX for a few thousends dollars... why doing cheap to buy this thing for $290 and not going for the more expensive proven models... like the Brevis 35 ( thanks for the link )... the website looks much more professional and there are already enough happy users of it on this forum.... if you buy then a cheap unknown DIY thing... then you can expect these kind of problems...

If I buy on the internet, I NEVER USE PayPal !!!!!.... I pay direct with my credit card ( and only to companies who are certified & don't get my details ) & if the product is not delivered in 10 days or there is any problem with it... I claim the money from my Credit Card company back.... I did that now a few times & always no problem...

I prefer still to see the actual product in a store, so I can see it, hold it, smell it & decide on the spot to buy it or not. When I find some new equipment, I introduce it always to my supplier & sometimes he import one to try out. Okay I pay a few bucks more but I can see the actual thing before I buy it... and when it's not working, I have a address where I can go back easily....

and Brasil.... that is a little to far for me from Singapore... hahaha

Thank God for PayPal is all I can say. I prefer to use them because of their protection. This is just one more example of them protecting their customers from horrible customer service and product misrepresentation. Yay Paypal.

Anything has to start somewhere. Probably are we witnesses of a beginning?? Sure, I would have been pissed with the arrogance of Adriano as well, but perhaps he was on the way for a good product. Peoples have to pay and learn the hard way sometimes. It’s a crap to put expensive always on a level with “good”. It’s a pity that no one could try the adapter, perhaps he was worth the money.
But why he shouldn`t get a second chance?? He should do so, if he takes his concern serious.

True that. Remember that both the M2 and the Brevis start out as low-cost DIY solutions. I believed the first Redrock model was announced somewhere in the range of $250-500, which is not much more than the Apefos. It took inputs and support from a lot of users for both products to reach the "professional" status that we give them today. Now this is due in large part to the great service given by both companies, but also because the earlier adopters were willing to take a risk with unknown products, despite the early issues. You can find old threads on here that complains about the long turnaround time for the M2 for example.

Some people here gets way too righteous and in my opinion failed to give Adriano a fair shake. Granted his treatment of bruiserbox was unprofessional, but he shoud be given the benefit of the doubt. We don't know anything about his other customers and it is possibe that this was an isolated incident by a newcomer to the business world. It's unfortunate that bruiserbox won't test the Apefos (or from the lack of response, is unwilling to let anyone else test it). Who knows, it might just be a revolutionary product at a great price point; or with users input, it might grow to be. Now we'll never know.

Apefos will be back in a new revised and redesigned project. The construction process will be revised too. The production was stoped and there is no old units for sell. The new apefos will be called APEFOS QC. QC is Quality Control. There will be some improvements in the optical system too. The Apefos policies including the return policies will be revised by my lawyer to prevent problems. But when APEFOS QC arrives, who are in a hurry, who cannot trust it and who do not agree with the policies, please do not regard Apefos. It will take some time to be available and probably the price will be raised a little bit. Paypal policies protects the sellers too, and after a full refund there is nothing more to ask. My old buyers got the money back and if some of them wants the new model and can wait we talk later. This announcement is for the people in this forum who believes in the development of a product. I will talk to Paypal about the new APEFOS QC but if Paypal cannot regard Apefos I will find another way to deal with customers. Thanks.

Well good luck with the QC model. Overall I guess bringing down your present model has been fun. I'm glad paypal protects the sellers too. I'm curious how many shipments are coming back to you? One thing is for sure, that nobody here (except the rare hobbiest), is going to buy your new Apefos QC before seeing results with the hvx camera. Since your product shipped from brasil costs 390$ US, you are allready getting closer to the price of known adapters like the Letus. With the sloppy service reputation you have built, it's not going to be easy to convince anyone to go anywhere near your' service. yet alone the adapter . One thing I can tell for sure is that you know the way you dealt with people because of a lack of quality control was wrong. I don't need to go into the annals of the M2 to know it. The only thing people here care about is good products, and a service to match. So far you failed both. People here wasted a lot of time trying to get your piece of **** tested on an hvx200. I doubt your new adapter will be much better, besides the fact they will not have chips. That's means you got a bunch of adapters on your hands and nothing to do with them. I want to test the old adapter, and I'll pay for the shipping. And if you don't want to, expect to ship out a couple of the new adapeters for free to be tested if you want people to buy them. I say that because your reputation is pretty bad right now, and nobody cares about the new Apefos policies. You seem to be saying in that if we don't like the fact that you lie about shipping dates, or that you expect us to trust you after this shutdown, and any other apefos policy, that we should not shop with you. Good, at least you are warning people in advanc. In the mean time, why don't you send me an adapter to test to see if you are still lying about it ever having been a good product for the hvx like you said.

dogcat, this was a completely vindictive and useless post. You're not adding anything to the discussion and you're practically threatening the man to send you an adapter for free to test.

Adriano has admitted that there were flaws in his customer service policy and the construction process for his adapter. Now he's going back to the drawing board to come up with a better product. You're acting like he owned the rest of us something and you just won't let it go. Like the man said, if you're not interested in the product or unsatisfied with his reputation then don't bother. If it really is bad, we just won't buy it. But saying that the guy is "lying" about his product and trying to extort freebies out of him is a new low.
