FCP and P2 Store importing issues

I copied 7 4gb cards to my p2 store and when i try and import in FCP, many of the clips are not showing up in FCP. I see the media in my finder, but FCP is not reading it. This is quite odd. it seems its always the first clip (0001...). i have tried copying the partition to my HD then importing locally, but its giving me the same problem. I have noticed that many of the partitions have the clips out of alphabeticle order. Has anyone ever had any problems like this?

Using MacPro 10.4.9, P2Store, FCP 5.1.4

I would love any help or to find out if this has happened to anyone else.

I tjink i've thesame problem, Actually i was 100% sure I did 6 offloads where I only find 5, also in the finder

(1) If you shot 720p24N make sure you turn OFF the remove duplicate frames option. FCP + P2 Import + Remove Duplicate Frames = sadness.

(2) Are you trying to import straight off the mounted "drives" of the P2 store? I believe the recommended workflow is to copy those contents over to your local system/network and then try and import from there instead.

cheers.

Does Panasonic have anything published for PCs? I can only dump my cards and view it in the P2 viewer. I can't view it anywhere else. tey show up as several drives in MXF files in my Avid. I am going crazy....

Not sure what you're asking. The P2 Store saves each copied card as its own "volume" on the hard disk, so each copied card shows up as a separate drive letter on the PC desktop.

Avid can import those files directly; just use the Media Tool to scan the drives and it'll bring up a list of importable clips which you can then drag straight to your timeline or bin. Or, you can consolidate the files onto your video drive and then import them from there.
