Yesterday was the first performance of our school play, I've got two more to get the filming right.
The lighting is different than previous plays I've filmed. My exposure is going from gain 12 to f3.4 every so often.
Basically, the way I've been doing it was during the blackouts have the aperture on auto, 1/60th shutter. The lights go on, it gets a tad blown out, then settles down, zoom in on the actors while adjusting the aperture.
I tried full auto but it's always too bright, anything reflective is blown out.
So if anyone has tips on the exposure, or just how to shoot the play, that'd be great.
