Movies You Would Rather Vomit On Than Watch Twice

Looks I got into this thread kind of late, but here's a few of mine:

Robocop and The Lost Boys

These two films will always be together in my head because I saw them as a double feature at the drive-in when I was in high school. I thought I had died and went to hell. And not a GOOD hell, either!

Robocop - Hated, absolutely HATED, the ending!
The Lost Boys - Corey times two... what more can I say?
Sliver - Stupid with another HORRIBLE ending on top!
The Unbearable Lightness of Being - UNBEARABLE IS RIGHT!
Motel Hell - "I used PERSERVATIVES!" - Duh duh duuuhhhhhhm!
Boxing Helena - What IS Art Garfunkel doing hanging out in the bushes?
ANYTHING by Jon Jost - The ONLY film I ever walked out on was by Jon Jost.

Rubberface.

My friend and I were like... Oh, Jim Carrey's in this. It might be funny. So we bring it home and it's over in like 50 minutes. And it sucked.

I enjoyed Event Horizon a lot; guilty-pleasure style.

But, what do I know; I liked Elephant, too.

Well not to flame the origional comment this was based on, but i really enjoyed Elephant as well. I thought it was poignant without being preachy.

well i believe the coreys have become lost boys.

My Vomit Picks

My Vomit Picks

Okay, here's my vomit list:

1) Superman 4: The Quest for Peace
2) Jaws 4: The Revenge
3) King Kong Lives
4) Independence Day
5) Van Helsing
6) Blade 3
7) Exorcist 2
8) Shrek 2
9) Hollow Man
10) John Carpenter's Vampires
11) Wes Craven's Cursed (he sort of redeemed himself with Red Eye... but then there was The Hills Have Eyes 2... he is a hack.)
12) Titanic -- what a stupid movie, especially the last third... boat is sinking, but the bad guys would rather get revenge and chase Di Crapio! Absurd! And why didn't he just get up on the "raft" with her? I mean, it was worth a try, right?
13) Anything with Barbara Streisand, Jane Fonda or Shirley McClain.
14) The Mummy (Brenden Frasier version) -- The Mummy 2 also qualifies.
15) Anything starring a gangsta' rapper or anything with "Phat" in the title or the number "2" instead of the words "to" or "too".
16) Any Christian End-Times Scenario movies: The Omega Code, Left Behind, etc.
17) The Ring 2
18) Any scene with Chris Tucker in it -- unless he is getting beat up.
19) Torque
20) Underworld 2

I'm also beginning to gag on "funny/edgy" movies with a bunch of Irish/British/Scottish accents. I think there is a growing crowd of movie goers who believe they are somehow hip if they find British (European) comedy hilarious. Makes them feel set apart from the "average American", I think. (Probably the kind of person who'd hate WE WERE SOLDIERS.)

I also hate movies with protagonists who don't take baths or shave... do drugs the whole movie... and are supposedly artsy/intellectual types.

And I can't leave out "inspirational" movies about teachers who help students reach their potential -- against all odds.

... oh, and any movie in which it was the sole purpose of its creator to make me cry. You know the type... something really sad happens, in a contrived sort of way... just because they thought it would be great to make you cry at the end. Like, I was supposed to cry at the end of LEGENDS OF THE FALL when Hopkins gets mauled by a bear, but I laughed instead. I mean, the whole movie is one depressing event after another. And then, just as you think the movie is over... this guy has lost his entire family... and out of nowhere, a bear mauls him!

And finally, a movie which wouldn't qualify for the Worst, but was certainly among my biggest let downs: Pirates of the Caribbean 2.

Donnie Darko.

Ha! So I'm catching up on this thread after a few weeks of absence and as I read your comments about Event Horizon and Elephant, I immediately began to prepare to offer my support. Then I get to the very end you ruined it!

Donnie Darko? What's wrong with Donnie Darko?

I see Donnie Darko AND FIght Club listed here. Can they SERIOUSLY be films someone would want to throw up on rather than watch again....? Donnie Darko was a bit mixed up but it had plenty of redeeming features in it. I loved it. And Fight Club is worth it just for the twist...
